Reece Chipman was born in Nassau on 31st December 1968. He is the grandson of the legendary entertainer John “Chippie” Chipman.
Reece attended St. Anne’s High School and The College of the Bahamas, before travelling to New York to pursue studies at Pace University.
He qualified as a Certified Public Accountant in 1993.
Reece has lectured in the continuing Education Division at the College of the Bahamas and at the Eugene Dupuch Law School.
He has served on the C.R. Walker school board, chaired the Donald Davis school board and was Vice Chairman of the CI Gibson school board.
Reece was awarded the Executive of the Year award by the Bahamas Financial Services Board. He was also the President of the Bahamas Institute of Chartered Accountants. He is a founding member of the Bahamas Investment and Securities Business Association.
Reece was the drafter and director of the first Ministry of Tourism’s Cacique Award.
An Anglican, Reece is a vestry member and Synod representative at St. Agnes Anglican Church.
He is married to Tara Chipman nee Sands and the couple has three children.
