Iram Lewis was born in Freeport, Grand Bahama, on May 3, 1965 to Iram Lewis Sr and Meldora Lewis (nee Heild). He began his early education at Water Cay All where he obtained the position of Head boy at the age of 13 years, later finishing high school at Freeport High School. Iram obtained a Associates of Arts Degree from The College of the Bahamas in Architecture, a Bachelor of Arts Degree also in Architecture and a Bachelor of Architecture from Tuskegee University, Tuskegee Alabama.
Iram is the current President of the G.B.A.A.A (Grand Bahama Athletic Assocation) and Distinguished Past President of Kiwanas Club of Cable Beach. He was in 2015 named to the College of the Bahamas Hall of Fame. Iram is the father of one child.
