The Free National Movement (FNM) issued the following statement regarding the addition of six new people to its initial release of candidates:
“On Monday, the Central Council of the Free National Movement convened a Special Called Meeting to ratify its initial list of candidates in advance of the next general election. Among them were six, strong new candidates: Adrian White – St. Anne’s; Senator Jennifer Isaacs-Dotson – Exumas and Ragged Island; Felicia-Antionette Knowles – Cat Island, Rum Cay and San Salvador; Kenneth ‘Ken’ Smith – Mangrove Cay and South Andros; Stephen Greenslade – Garden Hills; and Brian Brown – Golden Isles.
“Each new candidate brings his or her fresh perspective to our party’s growing ranks of leaders. Each new candidate brings a wide range of new skills and talents to the FNM. From an experienced insurance broker, to an attorney, to a multifaceted entrepreneur, a long-time party activist, to a telecommunications specialist, and a current senator and veteran trade unionist, they are well known within their respective communities. It benefits our party to have them as candidates. They will add valuable insights and perspectives to our policies toward building a better future for everyone.
“The future is bright for these individuals. While candidacy can be difficult at times, each new addition to our ticket is up to the task and committed to upholding the party’s message of being a rejuvenating voice for all.”
